The time from April to May is the best time for this trip because it is time when things revive after cold winter. We have carefully designed this trip focusing on ecology and environmental protection. Centered around the theme ‘the protection of the ecosystem at Ganjiang River Headwater, we will take you to the headwater area of Ganjiang river to observe its birds, plants,marine organism,geological environment and Wastewater treatment to help the trip participants understand how the ecosystem works and think about the harmonious coexistence between human and nature so as to build sustainable way of life.

Goals of this Camp
1) Knowledge Enhancement
In this trip, we will help students acquire multidimensional ecological knowledge about birds, plants, geology, Wastewater treatment, and marine organism, and understand the composition and operational mechanisms of ecosystems.
2) Skill Development
The participants will learn some skills for scientific research such as observing, recording, analyzing and carrying out experiments on their own and build up their capabilities in team collaboration and communication.
3) Environmental Awareness Building up
Our programs are intended to enable trip participants understand the impact on Eco-environemnt from human activities so as to help them build environmental awareness, enhance their sense of responsibility and mission toward ecological conservation.

1) Guided by professional nature experts
To ensure best learning experience, the camp provides a team of professional birdwatching guides, botanical specialist, and experts specialized in different fields, who will share interesting and professional knowledge to the participants. 。

A full array of thematic field activities including bird watching, plant surveys, visits to Wastewater treatment plant, Karst cave exploration, and marine ecosystem studies will give the participants a unique chance to gain a comprehensive understanding of diverse ecological systems.

This camp provide some special activities to enhance the experiences of participants, such as camping in Aquarium, which gives the participants a unique and unforgettable experience of sleeping beside marine life; making Wuyuan Oil-Paper Umbrella,which bridges the participants and locals in emotional contact and enables the participants feel charm of local culture.

Day1 Trip starts
In the morning we fly to Nanchang from Chengdu, upon arrival, get familiar with our destination such as its unique climate and environment.
In the afternoon, we go to Wuyuan from Nanchang by our private bus ( driving hours 3-4hrs)
In the evening, camp opening ceremony and participants divide into groups.FVC (Full Value Contract) Team Building, wash up and rest

Day2 Exploring Star Birds and Flora in Wuyuan
In the morning we will do bird-watching and study under the guidance of a professional birding guide in Wuyuan. After learning some basic knowledge about birds, we will observe the lives of local birds including their plumage, food, nestle and migration.
Note: Wuyuan boasts rich avian resources including species such as:
Pied Falconet,Blue-crowned Laughingthrush, Chinese Merganser, Silver Pheasant,Elliot's Pheasant,Crested Serpent Eagle,Black Eagle, Masked Laughingthrush,Asian Barred Owlet,Eurasian Jay,Black Baza,Mountain Bulbul,Crested Goshawk,Eurasian Hobby and Pied Kingfisher.
(During this camp, we will go to Chaguan to observe species such as Pied Falconet, Black Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle, and White-crowned Forktail.)

In the afternoon, A botany instructor will lead participants on a hike through Wolong Valley, the utopian landscape immortalized by Jin Yong's literary works, to observe and study local flora to understand the secrets of plant growth. There the participants will marvel at the awe-inspiring waterfall described in Li Bai's verse: ‘A thousand feet of flying cascade descends’.

Day3 Geological Research and Visit to Wastewater Treatment in Wuyuan
In the morning, we will visit Wuyuan Wastewater Treatment Plant, in its Environmental Education Base of Wuyuan,we will learn about the 14-stage purification process of urban wastewater including physical, chemical, and biological principles applied in water treatment so as to help participants understand the importance of saving water and enhance their awareness of environmental protection. An experiment will be carried out by participants to change dirty water into clean water.

In the afternoon, we will drive to Lingyan Cave – a spectacular karst cave, where we will learn how karst cave is formed and what kind of skills the organisms inside the cave have developed for their survival in the cave.Hike inside the cave will be a dual test for physical endurance and wisdom of the participants. Afterwards, we will go to Jujing Village to start our learning and appreciation of Huizhou-style architectures.
In the evening, we will enjoy a movie such as Kung Fu Panda or something similar.

Day4 Coexistence of human with marine organism
In the morning, we drive to Nanchang from Wuyuan (4hrs driving time)
In the afternoon, we will visit Nanchang Sunac Ocean Park for our class themed the coexistence of human with marine organism including seeing marine animals, feeding seals and interactive class on how to feed jellyfish.
In the evening, we will have our camp closing ceremony followed by sharing of individual comments on this trip before we enjoy our last night of camping inside the Aquarium.

Day5 Study of Chinese Poetry——Preface to the Pavilion of Prince Teng
In the monring, we will learn how to make Wuyuan Oil-paper Umbrella before we drive to Pavilion of Prince Teng, known as one of top ten famous historic pavilions in China.There is famous poem written by Wangbo about this pavilion. Here we will study the Chinese ancient architecture and feel the beauty of the great poet Wangbo’s poem Preface to the Pavilion of Prince Teng.
In the afternoon, we drive to Nanchang Airport and fly back to Chengdu.

April and May are the prime Spring time when birds and plants get their golden time for growth. This place features beautiful landscapes and rich cultural heritage.Among the mountain and rivers, you can see Anhui-style architectures scattered here and there in unique order. Traditional way of life and folk culture are well preserved in villages represented by Jujing village. While marveled at the beauty of nature, the participants can feel the charm of traditional Chinese culture and the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.The union between people and nature here provide excellent background for the trip participants to gain better understanding of different culture and global vision as well as close link between people and nature.
